    AlmaLinux installation media is distributed through three channels: the official mirror tree, community mirrors, and cloud image marketplaces. This page explains how to select the right ISO, pick a nearby mirror, and verify the download integrity.

    Lifecycle dates are the planned end of support (YYYY-MM); status badges are evaluated at build time. The upstream project is authoritative: Official AlmaLinux website.

    Where the ISOs live

    The official mirror tree publishes media per major version: repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/<major>/isos/<arch>/ holds boot (network install), minimal and DVD ISOs, plus AlmaLinux-10-latest-x86_64-* symlinks that always point at the current minor release, per-minor files and .torrent files.

    To use a regional mirror, replace the official repository root https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux with the mirror root (keep the /<major>/isos/... path unchanged).

    Picking a mirror

    The public mirror list is maintained at mirrors.almalinux.org and the official mirrorlist service geo-assigns a nearby mirror. For self-hosted public mirrors the project suggests at least 500GB per major version.

    Verification

    Always verify after download — the CHECKSUM file in the ISO directory records the SHA-256 of each medium:

    The target file must end with OK; a mismatch means re-download or switch mirrors. Installation steps continue on Install AlmaLinux.
