AlmaLinux 10 “Purple Lion” Released 2025-05 · security support until 2035-05 Versions & lifecycle

x86-64-v2 architecture added Following RHEL 10’s v3 baseline, AlmaLinux ships v3 by default and adds x86-64-v2 for older hardware, which can keep receiving security updates for another 10 years

PCI IDs re-added for older hardware Re-adds PCI IDs RHEL disabled for several storage and network drivers, including aacraid, hpsa, lpfc, mlx4_core and qla2xxx

Frame pointers on by default Frame pointers are enabled by default, which supports system-wide tracing and profiling

SPICE and KVM on IBM POWER SPICE support is enabled for server and client applications, and KVM for IBM POWER, so libvirt and KVM work as they do in AlmaLinux 8
